Transport, Maintenance, and Media Support Technician
Department: Operations / Logistics / Technical Services Reports To: Operations or Facilities Manager
Job Summary:
The Transport, Maintenance, and Media Support Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the organization’s transport systems, the upkeep and repair of vehicles and facilities, and the maintenance of media equipment. This role supports daily operational efficiency by managing transportation logistics, performing preventive maintenance, and providing technical support for audiovisual and communication equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transport Operations
Coordinate and manage transportation schedules for staff, goods, and materials.
Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure safety, cleanliness, and roadworthiness.
Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle servicing.
Ensure compliance with transport policies, licensing, and safety regulations.
Assist in route planning and logistics optimization.
2. Maintenance Duties
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
Monitor and report any defects or issues requiring specialist repair.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental standards.
3. Media Support Maintenance
Install, test, and maintain audiovisual (AV) and media equipment such as projectors, sound systems, displays, and recording devices.
Provide technical support during presentations, meetings, and events.
Troubleshoot and repair hardware or connectivity issues related to media systems.
Keep software, firmware, and systems up to date.
Maintain records of equipment usage, repairs, and upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Management, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IT, or related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in transport coordination, maintenance, or AV/media support.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Proficiency with maintenance tools and media systems.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Work Environment:
Combination of office, workshop, and fieldwork settings.
May require occasional travel, shift work, or weekend availability.
