This listing is for a beautiful set of two (2) antique W. H. Grindley & Co. English flow blue luncheon plates in the "Portman" pattern, c. 1900.

These gorgeous plates have deep, rich cobalt blue coloration and are decorated with a wide floral border in dark cobalt blue with a small embossed floral band on both the inside and outside edge. Nice scalloped outer rim.

Both plates are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other noted flaws.

The back is marked with cobalt enameled Grindley trademark stamp with initials "FB" below used between 1891 to 1914. Mark illustrated on page 26 in the book "The Collectors Encyclopedia of Flow Blue China" by Mary Frank Gaston.
