AURIZIA FÉLIX SOUSA ANICA. PhD in Anthropology from the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and Coordinating Professor at the University of Algarve, where she directs the Department of Social Sciences (ESEC). She direted the Masters degrees in Social Gerontology, in Management and School Administration and in Basic Education 1st and 2 cycles (Portuguese/History). She edited the book Envelhecer no Algarve (2018) and co-edited the ebooks Envelhecimento Ativo e Educação II (2020), Crianças em Risco. Um olhar multifacetado. Children at Risk. A Multifaceted View (2017), and Envelhecimento Ativo e Educação (2014). She is the author of the books entitled As Mulheres, a Violência e a Justiça no Algarve de Oitocentos (2005) and A Transformação da Violência no Século XIX (2003). Her most recent research has been conducted on topics of Social Gerontology and Contemporary Cultural History.
