Cabo de interconexão balanceado (XLR) da Audioquest, o Colorado. Antigo topo de gama de cobre puro PSC+ (o melhor cobre da AQ) , com sistema 72V DBS. Tubos de ar FEP como dieléctrico. Excelente construção e pouquíssimo uso.
Sem caixa de origem.
De facto, adquiri o Colorado XLR há uma boa porção de anos, para funcionar com antigos monoblocos de potência. Mas alguns meses depois alienei os ditos monoblocos e guardei o cabo por ser algo comprido e ter outras alternativas. Comprovei recentemente o seu bom estado sónico e as imagens, que são reais, atestam o bom estado físico.
Apesar de ser comprido, pode ser usado sem problema algum como cabo de interconexção para um amplificador de potência stereo. As perdas em cabos XLR praticamente não existem até muitas dezenas de metros. Daí o seu uso maioritário no mercado profissional.
Os atributos deste cabo são: detalhe, corpo e impacto, com excelente palco sonoro e riqueza de timbres e excelente dinâmica. Nada de asperezas nem brilhos. Poderoso no grave, com controlo e definição, sem afectar as restantes frequências. Ligeira tendência para o lado "quente" do neutral. Se considerarmos o Columbia, o cabo abaixo da sua gama de época, esse será mais analítico e mais neutral e este Colorado será mais vívido, corposo, intenso e detalhado. Excelente com música dinâmica, incluindo Rock e Metal.
Em 2008, o valor deste par rondava os 1000 usa dollars! O valor actual foi definido a partir de vendas no hifishark. Parece-me muito razoável e sensato. Até dada a raridade deste cabo no mercado de usados.

For those with higher resolution systems, AudioQuest Colorado is a must-listen. The first direct rival we found to Kimber's Select series, the AudioQuests provide slightly more detail than the Kimber and better overall integration. The AudioQuests are also remarkably free of interaction with components and speakers. A straight wire without grain!
