Hiromu Arakawa
Nascida em Tokachi, cidade localizada na província de Hokkaido, gélido norte do Japão, Hiromu Arakawa ganhou projeção nacional em 1999 com o mangá Stray Dog. A autora de apenas 33 anos alcançou a fama mundial com o lançamento de Fullmetal Alchemist em 2001. As aventuras de Ed e Al foram inicialmente lançadas na revista mensal Shonen Gangan, da Square Enix. Por ser de Hokkaido, província conhecida pela pecuária, a autora Hiromu Arakawa costuma se desenhar em seus mangás como uma simpática vaquinha.
