Brian Wilson meets punk rock. Sure it isn't as fast as most punk, but it has that raw spirit. Many people tend to place this album in the shoegazing genre, but there seems to be very little gazing at the shoes here. Brad Laner seems much more content to beat our heads in with his thin, trebly distorted guitars while Beth Thompson croons confidently along with them.
