I bought this Music Man in 1999 and has been my main rig since two years ago when I moved to Lisbon.
I’m not using it anymore and I’ve decided to sell it to get an OP-1. It has been played not professionally in numerous live events and I've recorded many unsuccessful records with it.
It has a few nasty scars caused by me and a couple of natural cracks caused by accumulated years as you can see in the pictures.
It's a versatile instrument that can be used in all kinds of music generes. Its active circuit can deliver great low end, very harsh high ends and nice colourful mids. With only two knobs you can make any recipe to fit your style.
Is extremely confortable and with lower action makes the unique buzzy sound this bass is known for if slappy funk is your choice. Mid tones and flat wounds make it pop out in pop and country music. I've used the magnificent low end it provides for electronic music and rock. Live engineers generally like the MM because they have extra frequencies to cut and make their lives easier to make it through the mix. The hard case is generic, but does the job.
