Stepping onto the beaten track, our ‘Alternative Marathons’ finds its inspiration from those worldwide marathons you may not be too familiar with. The collection – which reimagines three of adidas’ coveted silhouettes from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s – channels three marathons which have built a cult following for their awe-inspiring landscapes unique to anything else on the planet.

This week – for the capsule’s third and final release – we’re taking you to the icy plains of Greenland, with an iteration of the Marathon TR inspired by the island’s Polar Circle Marathon. Situated in Kangerlussuaq, ‘the Coolest Marathon on Earth’ takes runners on an awe-inspiring journey through an arctic tundra made up of glacier tongues, moraine landscapes and the soundless, arctic desert.
